HOW CAN YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

 

We are looking for coaches with a track record in competitive debate and speech; as a competitor, as a coach, or ideally both. You can make an impact by being passionate about speech and debate, by being dedicated to fostering enthusiasm and excellence in talented students, and by being competitive to help students achieve the best possible results from their tournament participation.

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

 

• Coaching between 8 to 10 debate and public speaking classes or competition prep sessions per week (18 to 23 hours of coaching).
• Conduct Parent Coach Conferences with the parents of the students that you work with.
• Ensure high retention of the students that you work with.
• Training students for speech and debate competitions both in China and abroad.
• Constantly innovating and finding new ways to help students excel in competitive debate by creating new course offerings and developing new coach and student resources.
• Finding new competitive opportunities for students by helping organize tournaments as well as using your network to seek new opportunities abroad and in China.
• Create and maintain research packets, masterfiles, and other evidence files for students competing in evidentiary style debates such as PF.

 

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

 

• Experience as a competitor or coach – either in a formal competitive debate format such as British Parliamentary, World Schools or Public Forum, or competitive individual
speech events such as Extemporaneous Speaking, Original Oratory, After Dinner Speaking, or Humorous Interpretation – is a requirement for this role.
• Candidates are not expected to be an expert in all or multiple formats. Still, they should be able to demonstrate a significant track record of success in at least one such format, and a willingness to learn about others as part of their professional development.
• Passionate curiosity and a love of learning.
• Excellent communication skills, both in written and verbal English.
• Strong adaptability to cope with a fast-growing environment.
• Collaborative work ethic and comfort working as part of a team.
• A focus on detail-oriented projects with thoughtful and precise decision-making.
• Experience as an adjudicator, tournament organizer, CAP member and/or IA at regional and international tournaments, particularly in China and/or Asia is preferred.
• Experience with evidentiary debate formats and the ability to create high quality masterfiles for students.

• Identifying and leveraging international online competition opportunities, connecting students to virtual tournaments worldwide.
• Creating and maintaining digital research packets, masterfiles, and evidence files for students participating in evidentiary debate formats such as Public Forum (PF).

• Proven experience as a competitor or coach in formats such as British Parliamentary, World Schools, Public Forum, or competitive speech events like Extemporaneous Speaking, Original Oratory, After Dinner Speaking, or Humorous Interpretation.
• Candidates should have a track record of success in at least one format and a willingness to learn additional formats as part of professional growth.
• Passionate educators with experience in teaching, coaching, or mentoring, particularly in debate, public speaking, or related disciplines. We seek individuals dedicated to helping young students master the art of speech and debate.
• Excellent communication skills in written and verbal English.
• Adaptability and comfort in a fully online teaching environment.
• Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented approach with thoughtful and precise decision-making.
• Experience with online adjudication, tournament organization, and international online competitions is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Brand Activity Planning and Execution: Responsible for the overall planning and implementation of brand activities, including setting activity goals, budgets, and timelines. Ensure that every aspect of the event aligns closely with the brand image and market demands to enhance brand awareness and reputation.
• Community Activity Management: Responsible for the planning and execution of community activities at the learning center, aimed at increasing customer engagement and participation. By offering diverse and enriching activities, enhance user experience and promote interaction and sharing among users.
• Event Planning and Operations: Responsible for the planning, organization, and operation of major events, ensuring smooth processes and efficient execution. Pay attention to feedback from participants and parents, making timely adjustments to strategies to enhance the success, influence, and engagement of the events.
• Outreach and Joint Promotion: Responsible for collaborating with educational institutions to carry out joint promotional activities, expanding the brand’s market influence. By building strong partnerships, facilitate resource sharing between parties to achieve mutual benefits.
• Market Material Management: Manage the production, distribution, and inventory of marketing materials, ensuring timely supply and effective use for various events. Regularly evaluate the usage of materials to optimize resource allocation and reduce costs.
• Activity Effectiveness Analysis and Optimization: Regularly analyze the effectiveness of activities, focusing on customer satisfaction and effective sales leads, and provide improvement suggestions. Make adjustments based on data feedback to enhance the effectiveness and participation of future activities.

• Event Planning and Execution Skills: Rich experience in planning and executing events, with a strong emphasis on community service. Capable of independently organizing and driving various activities while maintaining high efficiency in a multi-task environment.
• Excellent Communication and Project Management Skills: Proficient in both Chinese and English, with the ability to engage in daily conversations. Capable of effective project management and execution based on project goals, timelines, and priorities.

As the Community Manager (CM), you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, helping to nurture long-term relationships and ensure their needs are met. Your role will involve understanding customer pain points, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Customer Support: Act as the main contact for customer inquiries, offering timely solutions and personalized support.
• Relationship Building: Cultivate long-term relationships with key customers, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
• Feedback Collection: Gather customer feedback through surveys, calls, and meetings to identify areas for improvement.
• Upselling & Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products/services to existing customers.

Requirements

 

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in customer service, account management, or relationship management roles.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
