Elena Sinchuk

A former debater herself, Elena is also a competitive debate coach that can work with middle-school and high-school students, including top speakers in the Chinese debate circuit.

“Elena Sinchuk has participated in competitive speech and debate events for almost seven years. As a former debater, Elena has experience speaking in many national tournaments and European championships, such as Oneg Debate, KazATU Open, and the Kazakhstan and Lithuanian Open Championship, IDEA. Elena was also an invited adjudicator at many public speaking and parliamentary debate tournaments in her native Russia, the St. Petersburg Open Parliamentary Debate Tournament, the 3rd International Parliamentary Debate Tournament ‘Pro et Contra,’ the Harkhiv 5th International Debate Tournament ‘Fire’ Ukraine, and the World Schools Debate Championships (WSDC).

After relocating to China, Elena worked as a guiding coach to support student preparation and competition for many debate tournaments and leagues. She has accompanied students to various Asian and World Championships (NHSDLC, WSC). Before coming to LOZO, Elena worked as a head coach of the team of Baltic Federal University and later as a teacher in public and private schools. Her team had been representing the Baltic University at Federal League Championships and European tournaments in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Poland.

Elena has a postgraduate degree in the methodology of pedagogy and child psychology, with certificates in debate-related courses such as stress resistance, mindfulness, and handling emotional pressure. She also has experience teaching “teamwork efficiency,” “team interactions,” and “competition mental preparation” to middle and high school students.

At LOZO, Elena is a coach and uses her experience to guide students of all ages to become more engaged and excited about public speaking and debate. Whether preparing for their first speeches or fine-tuning cases for competition, Elena has the passion and dedication to help improve learning outcomes regardless of circumstance.”
