Ivan Velentey

Winner of the University College London Debating Championship and finalist in major competitions like the Cambridge and European Universities Debating Championships

Guiding students for domestic and international debates, with prior experience developing courses in Moscow.


His students have won multiple championships, including the Asian World Schools Debating Championships (AWSDC) and NSDA China competitions.

 

“Ivan Velentey is one of the top debaters in Belarus, having achieved outstanding results in numerous prestigious competitions, including winning the University College London Debating Championship and reaching the finals of major events such as the Cambridge University Debating Championship, the European Universities Debating Championship, and the Shanghai International Debate Open. Additionally, he was invited by The New York Times to participate in the Great Athens Debate.

 

At LOZO, Ivan serves as a competitive coach, responsible for guiding students in their preparation for domestic and international events. Prior to this, he developed several related courses at the Moscow Institute of International Relations and the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, and coached students in various world debating championships.

 

The students coached by Ivan have won multiple championships in international and regional competitions, including the Asian World Schools Debating Championships (AWSDC), the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) China competitions, and the Shanghai Public Speaking and Debate Championship (SPSDC), among other high-level events.”
