Nikola Serafimov

Head of Coaching and Academic Department

Master in Global Public Policy and LL.M in International Business Law.

 

Has been active in the debate scene since 2011, first as a competitor and later as a speech & debate program developer in Europe and Asia.

 

Nikola’s former and current students include: NHSDLC and WSDA top speakers, top junior speakers in the Asia-Pacific region, and representatives of several national World Schools Debate teams (China, Poland, Macedonia).

 

“Nikola Serafimov comes to LOZO from Macedonia, where he won numerous  international moot court competitions. Nikola also received an honourable mention for the Frederic Eismann Award at the largest competition in private international law in the world, the Vienna Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. He has also reached two finals at international debating competitions at the Moscow Open and Chengdu Open, among other debating successes.

 

At LOZO, Nikola serves as a Coach on the Academy Team, guiding them in acquiring key public speaking and debating skills. Prior to coming to LOZO, Nikola worked as a Program Assistant at the American Institute on Political and Economic Systems and completed his graduate studies in both Law and Global Public Policy. Coach Nikola also has deep experience studying topics that students frequently debate, including personal data protection, informational asymmetry in contractual obligation, and the intersection of education and public policy. His academic background and research focus allows him to work with students of all ages to deepen their topical understanding of important issues.

 

Students Coach Nikola has worked with have won numerous national and regional events, including the Shanghai Public Speaking and Debating Championships (SPSDC) Public Forum Division. Additionally, many of his students have reached the finals and semi-finals at tournaments, including the SPSDC British Parliamentary Division.”
