Having chaired over 500 debates and organized several domestic tournaments, he wants to bring this experience to younger students that are picking up debate for the first time. “

“Ryan Xu is a seasoned debater from China with 8 years of experience in both Chinese and English debate. In the field of English debate, he has achieved notable recognition, including being the national finalist of the China University Debating Championship (CUDC) and FLTRP CUP National Debating Championship, two of the most prestigious and highly regarded competitions in China. Additionally, he has been ranked as the top debater in numerous international events like Australs, Asia Queer Debate Open, etc. In the realm of public speaking, Ryan has secured the regional championship advancing as national finalist earning in the national competition. He has also made it to the final selection round of the seventh season of the Chinese debate-themed variety show, “Qipashuo”.

As an experienced tournament adjudicator, Ryan actively engages in the debate community in Shanghai. Over the course of three years, he has served as a judge for various major competitions, presiding over more than 500 matches encompassing formats such as public forums, parliamentary debates, and junior debates. He has acted as the chief adjudicator for prestigious events including NHSDLC National, invitationals, and the Harvard 1v1 Tournament. Furthermore, Ryan has contributed to the planning and organization of influential tournaments such as the Shanghai International Tournament (SIT).

Prior to joining LOZO, Ryan held the position of project manager for international production projects, serving renowned global brands such as ExxonMobil. He successfully implemented nearly a hundred international projects, showcasing exceptional leadership and organizational abilities.
